2022 Award Recipients
Sara Bambino, CNS – $560.37 “Fiction Refresh” which will be used to update her classroom library in grades 10 & 11. These books will be incorporated into guided feedback on social media.
Colleen O’Connor, Stephen Bacon, and Brian Noll, RRMS/GRMS – $1,939.68 for their STEM grant “Problem Solving with LEGOS” which will provide students opportunities to work on problem solving through legos in school and in after school programs at the middle school level. This grant was able to be funded through the district’s regular budget.
Peggy Parker, retired teacher at BRE. Working with their building principal and literacy team including current organizer Deb Gavin they were awarded $6,390.00 for the “Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine” used to reinforce reading skills and reinforce positive character traits exhibited by students.
Cori Patterson, Cicero Elem. – “Bringing the Joy with the Bass!” $1887.48 used to buy Orff Instruments for student use in K-4 music classes.
Shannon Proctor, KWS BRE – $3,188.06 “Orff Instruments for Musical Development” where students in K-4 grades will be able to play the instruments to improve skills.
Karen Seamans, GRMS – “Marching to the Beat of Our Own Drums & Cymbals”- $1163.74 used to purchase drum and cymbals sized for students in the middle school marching bands so they are prepared for the CNS Band.
